Analysis: The Canadiens said Friday that Markov had surgery in a Toronto hospital. He was injured when Maple Leafs goaltender Carey Price caught the Russian with his skate during Montreal's 4-3 overtime victory on Thursday night. Markov was coming off a career for the Canadiens with 64 points.
