Analysis: The No. 1 draft pick was examined Friday by Dr. Lewis Yocum in Los Angeles. The Nationals say Strasburg will not require surgery, and that treatment will include rest and physical therapy. Nov. 6 12:28 PM PT1:28 PM MT2:28 PM CT3:28 PM ET8:28 PM GMT4:28 AM 北京时间-The Nationals say No. 1 overall draft pick Strasburg has a strained neck muscle and is being scratched from his scheduled start in the Arizona Fall League Rising Stars game.

Oct. 17 10:34 PM PT11:34 PM MT12:34 AM CT1:34 AM ET6:34 AM GMT2:34 PM 北京时间-Strasburg reached 99 mph with his first pitch Friday night and worked 3 1-3 scoreless innings in his Arizona Fall League debut Friday. The right-hander, who signed a record $15.1 million, four-year contract with the Nationals as the first player taken in the June draft, gave up only two singles and a walk while striking out two for the Phoenix Desert Dogs. Strasburg earned the win for Phoenix - 7-4 over Scottsdale - because of the liberal Fall League scoring rules.
Analysis: He was removed after throwing 50 pitches, the limit set by the Nationals as Strasburg works himself back into shape after spending most of the summer in contract negotiations.
Aug. 21 12:05 PM PT1:05 PM MT2:05 PM CT3:05 PM ET8:05 PM GMT4:05 AM 北京时间-With fireworks and $1 tickets, the Washington Nationals have welcomed Strasburg to the nation's capital. The No. 1 overall draft pick was feted with an elaborate news conference Friday that took place on the field along the third-base line, attended by a few hundred fans who braved a stifling heat index that reached 100 degrees.
Analysis: Strasburg signed a record-breaking contract for a draft pick Monday night, a guaranteed $15.1 million over four years. The Nationals plan to send the San Diego State right-hander to the Florida Instructional League, followed by the Arizona Fall League. Given all the hoopla surrounding his arrival, Strasburg was asked what will happen after he pitches his first shutout. His answer: "Maybe a fly-by of Air Force One."
